INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ADMISSION CHECKLIST

Initial

Email the following to AIA Admissions department : admission@aiaviationacademy.com

Enroll here

 

□ International Student Enrollment Application form

□ Declaration of Finances form to AIAA from Student/Parent

□ Evidence of Financial Support – Bank Statements/Financial documents.

Minimum proof of funds varies for each course. Pl check with school

□ Passport (valid at least 1 year after estimated US arrival date)

□ Photo ID (color, at least 2”x2” or larger)

□ School Transcripts and/or Certificates

AIA Academy Enrollment
Once you receive email from AIAA, confirming your admission, make bank wire transfer or call us by phone to pay by Credit Card

 

□ I-20 processing fee – $250

□ Courier Fee- $150

□ Purchase Cessna King PPL online course ($421.22 USD) to start studying.

Recieve your I-20 SEVIS Student VISA Document from AIAA

 

□ Once above payment is received, we will courier your I-20 to you.

□ Inform us by email, on the arrival of your I-20 by courier.

□ Sign and date the I-20 when you receive it.

SEVIS Online Payment – Go to https://studyinthestates.dhs.gov/paying-the-i-901-sevis-fee

 

 

□ Submit Form I-901 “Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVIS) Fee: $350

□ Print and keep the Receipt for your I-901 payment

Student Visa Application

 

□ Submit Form DS-160 “Online US Nonimmigrant Visa Application” Fee ($160.00 USD)

□ Print the submission Confirmation Page

□ Print and keep the Receipt for your payment

Visa Interview Appointment

 

□ Schedule your Visa Interview appointment through US Visa portal of your country

Visa Interview – Bring the following to your Visa Interview:

 

□ Your ink signed and dated I-20

□ Printed DS-160 Confirmation Page

□ Receipt for your DS-160 payment

□ Receipt for your I-901 payment

□ Passport with at least 1 year validity

□ Travel Itinerary/Tickets (if you already made travel arrangements)

 

□ Financial documents – Proof of funds

 

□ Any additional documents related to your admission to our school

 

□ Copies of AIA Academy correspondence with you, admission acceptance, brochure etc.

 

□ Documents to prove that you wish to become a pilot and return to your country, thereafter

After your interview

 

□ Once you have received your M1 Visa – Contact AIA Academy:

□ Make your initial payment – 1st installment must be paid within 5 days of Visa approval.

Health Insurance

 

□ Purchase your student health insurance for the duration of your intended course

□ Submit Insurance Coverage proof to AIAA by email

TSA Approval – Complete the following to receive your TSA Background Check & Approval: https://www.flightschoolcandidates.gov/home

 

□ Complete the TSA Application – Select Course PPL 101 – Aircraft type C152,C172

□ Pay the TSA processing fee ($130.00 USD)

□ Schedule an appointment with a TSA fingerprinting agency after arriving to USA

TSA Fingerprinting Agency Appointment

If you do not have fingerprinting in your city you can do it after arrival to USA.

Bring the following to your appointment

 

□ Passport

□ Driver’s License or Student ID

□ AFSP Approval Email

□ Control Form

Travel Plans to the US

 

□ Schedule & book your flight to the US – arriving Sacramento, CA

□ Inform AIA Academy that you have booked your flight to the US

□ Email a copy of your itinerary to AIA Academy

Arriving at the US Port of Entry (POE)
Present the following for your POE Inspection:

 

□ Your I-20

□ Your M-1 Visa (be sure that it contains your SEVIS ID and our school name)

□ Evidence of Financial Support – Bank Statement

□ Your Passport

□ Receipt for your I-901 payment

 

Report to AIA Academy within 72 hours of your arrival in USA.
